About Robin Vincent Photography
If you're looking for portraiture that brings unique vision to capturing you or your loved ones' personalities, Robin's background in art, fashion, business, and motherhood bring a rare balance of sensibility, sensitivity, and artistic vision to her work.
Whether you're a professional looking for a unique and impactful headshot that sets you apart, or a parent looking for graduation or family photos that step outside the cookie-cutter style of most portrait studios to create images that more meaningfully express who you are, Robin brings an experience and sensitivity to the process that you'll find comforting and refreshing.
A Lifelong Passion
Robin has had a camera in hand and a darkroom nearby since childhood. Her father was award-winning photographer Jim Galbraith, which means she was surrounded by the work of professionals like Howard Bond and Ansel Adams from an early age. Although photography has been a passion for Robin all her life, it has remained a purely artistic pursuit until recently.
Family, Business, and Art
Robin's photography had to take the back seat to running a business and raising two daughters for a while; Robin opened and operated Ann Arbor's award-winning Orbit Hair Design from 1989 - 1999, and devoted most of her remaining time to raising her two daughters. In spite of keeping pace with running a business and a family during these years, Robin still avidly pursued her love for photography and painting, and has had her work exhibited at The Scarab Club in Detroit, Washington Street Gallery, The Kerrytown Concert House, and Concordia College in Ann Arbor.
If you're seeking the assembly-line package approach of videographer, stilted and overposed photos, and pre-packaged multimedia bundles, Robin is probably not the photogapher you're looking for. But if you're looking for intimate and expressive images captured on what may be the most important day of your life, Robin brings an expressiveness and style to wedding work to create images you will cherish in the years ahead.
